DropSquid legal
Privacy Policy
Effective September 23, 2026
DropSquid LLC operates dropsquid.com, a seller-operations service that connects a user's supplier and marketplace accounts. This policy explains what information DropSquid collects, how it is used, and the choices available to users and visitors.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, account credentials, support messages, and subscription status. To operate the service, we also process connection credentials and authorization tokens for services you connect, product and supplier records, marketplace listings, order and fulfillment details, shipping information, and operational and security logs.
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. DropSquid receives payment status and related billing identifiers but does not receive or store full payment-card details entered on Stripe's checkout page.
Information collected automatically
When you access DropSquid, our systems may receive your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and security or diagnostic events. We use this information to provide the website, keep sessions secure, troubleshoot problems, and understand service performance.
How we use information
- Authenticate users and maintain accounts.
- Import products, calculate costs and prices, and prepare marketplace listings.
- Synchronize orders and support fulfillment actions requested by users.
- Process subscriptions and provide billing support.
- Improve customer service and website functionality.
- Diagnose failures, secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service, and, where required, based on your consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Cookies and local storage
DropSquid uses cookies and similar browser storage to maintain sign-in sessions, remember settings, preserve checkout progress, and protect the service. You can restrict cookies in your browser, but essential account and checkout features may no longer work.
Connected services and sharing
When you connect eBay, a supplier, Stripe, or another service, DropSquid exchanges information with that provider as needed to perform actions you request. We may also use service providers for hosting, security, and operations. Each provider has its own terms and privacy practices.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business transaction, or in aggregated or de-identified form that does not reasonably identify an individual.
International data transfers
DropSquid and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers of personal information across borders.
Security and retention
We use appropriate administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained while needed to provide the account and service, meet legitimate compliance requirements, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including under the CCPA or GDPR where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and appeal or complain to a regulator. You may disconnect a marketplace or request deletion of DropSquid account data. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may be retained where legally required.
Children's privacy
DropSquid is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Exercising your rights
Submit a privacy request using the contact information below and describe the request and account email. We will verify the request and respond within the period required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to verification of their authority. We will not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as the service develops. Material updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
